Guidelines for increasing carbon sequestration

Increasing carbon storage = to store carbon in forested areas and increase carbon storage in other areas that are converted to land (IPCC definition)

  • Promote natural forests to grow more.
  • Planting forests in various areas To increase carbon storage
  • Expanding the cutting cycle To maintain the amount of carbon in the area for a certain period of time
  • Encourage the use of wood products in development and construction, etc.
  • Increase biomass production per area. Using the principles of forest management according to academic principles, such as selecting quality species.
  • Reforestation in the area that used to be forest but was destroyed.
  • Restoration of natural forests and recovery of degraded forest areas.
