On July 15, 2021, from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM, Mr. Thannarin Na Nakorn, Inspector-General of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, chaired the opening of the discussion meeting on the preparation of the feedback and grievance redress mechanism (FGRM) for the preparation of the REDD+ Thailand strategy via the Zoom online program, which was conducted by the Thailand Environment Institute Foundation. In the meeting, Dr. Wicharn Simachaya, Director of the Thailand Environment Institute, along with the research team, presented 1) channels for receiving information and resolving grievances, 2) concerns and conflicts that may arise from REDD+ operations, 3) organizational strengths and gaps in receiving information and resolving grievances, and 4) (draft) framework for receiving information and resolving grievances, including listening to opinions from relevant sectors, including the government, private sector, civil society, academic sector, local communities, and other sectors, on the preparation of the feedback and grievance redress mechanism for the preparation of the REDD+ country's strategy.
