The seminar summarized the results of the project to prepare for the country's Red Plus mechanism.

   On December 21, 2021 at 1:30 p.m., Ms. Rungnapa Pattanawibul, Deputy Director-General of the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, chaired the opening of the seminar summarizing the results of the project to prepare for the country's REDD+ mechanism at the Tulip Room, Rama Gardens Hotel, Bangkok and via online system. Dr. Wijarn Simachaya, Director of the Thailand Environment Institute, and Ms. Waraporn Hirunwatsiri, a representative of the World Bank, welcomed the seminar participants. The purpose of the seminar was to summarize the results of the project and exchange lessons learned from various operations under the project to prepare for the country's REDD+ mechanism, as well as to exchange opinions and suggestions for driving climate change in the forestry sector in the future. Representatives from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning, the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, and the Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage joined the discussion on the topic of "REDD+ Opportunities and Challenges" in the Future.
