Mr. Prasert Sonsathapornkul, Director of the International Affairs Division, chaired the opening of the Academic Steering Committee Meeting of the Forestry Reference Level Development Project and the Monitoring, Monitoring and Reporting System for the REDD+ Framework (CS-7) under the REDD+ Readiness Proposal (R-PP) Project at the Maida Hotel, Nakhon Pathom Province.
Representatives from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the project consultants, presented the results of the preparation of activity data, emission factors, and forest reference levels to the working groups from various relevant agencies, including the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, the Royal Forest Department, the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, the Department of Land Development, the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning, the Faculty of Forestry, Kasetsart University, the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (Public Organization), and the Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization). They were informed of the source of the data, the method of data preparation, statistical analysis, accuracy, appropriateness, and utilization of the data. They also listened to the opinions and suggestions from the working groups on the preparation and presentation of data to make it more accurate and complete.
